2006-07 Achievements
- The 2006 Report Card reflected –
- 89% of our students were proficient or advanced in Language Arts/Reading;
- 86% of our students were proficient or advanced in Mathematics;
- Achieved an “A” on the Writing Assessment; and
- Achieved an “A” in three academic areas (Value-Added) for Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, and Social Studies – achieved a “B” in Science.
- For the second consecutive year, as part of the AR Program, students read over 60,000 books.
- Forty-eight 5th grade students were cast and crew members in the spring play “Fiddler on the Roof”.
- “Mandatory Mondays” (remedial and tutor program) continued for the fourth consecutive year, emphasizing reading and math skills.
- Students in grades 3-5 participated in the Science Fair.
- Approximately 100 students and 7 teachers participated in the after-school tutorial program that emphasized reading and math skills.
- The 5th grade’s Student Council participated in numerous community services activities.
